Use Mind Power Training – Not Willpower

Are Subconscious Blocks, Mental Blocks, The Problem?

life coaching for womentIt’s a fact that sometimes, without intentionally using mind power techniques and training, things do fall into place as you’d like. Sometimes it’s easy and feels like you are “in the zone.” But what interests me is knowing what to do when things aren’t happening easily.

We now know that your brain runs on old habits and patterns that tie you to the past.  The focus of your attention and energy can cause similar experiences to repeat. Great if it’s what you want.  Not so great if you’re manifesting the negative aspects of life over and over and over.

The secret is paying attention to the thoughts that come to mind automatically.

Your mind is a powerful thing and images can pop in there that give you big clues about what you really think and feel deep down. Sometimes it can really surprise you.

Past experiences and your beliefs and perceptions about them come into play. You experience a feeling that is a goldmine because it can help you get to the bottom of things. If they aren’t going as you’d like, it is that feeling that has to change.

It’s almost impossible for most people to control what they feel the way they try to do it. They try to fight a powerful automatic response with a comparatively very week thought process that goes on in their conscious mind.

Here is one of many simple mind power training techniques you can use.  The first step is to calm your mind and body.  Only from that state should you work on tricking your brain into believing the new reality is actually true already.

This simple exercise changes your brain and supports the areas that deal with accomplishing goals.

  1. Set a timer for 5 minutes.  (More if you have time or just keep going after it goes off.)
  2. Set an intention to focus on your breathing for 5 minutes or the time you designated. That is your goal and step 1 of 3 steps.
  3. Focus on your breath as you inhale and exhale
  4. If/when your focus is diverted by a stray thought, that is okay. It is actually part of the process that helps your brain grow in ways that will give you better support in the future with your other goals. Just recognize that it has strayed from your intention to keep it focused on your breath, which is step 2 of 3 (the recognition) and then shift your attention back to your breathe, which is step 3 of 3.

This simple technique actually changes the structure of your brain when done consistently over a very short span of few months rather than over the span of many years as was once thought. It also helps you reach the optimal state for using the Triangle For Success formula I speak of all the time. It is a formula that helps you think, feel and see things into existence by aligning those 3 areas, your TFS.

You should always do your best to be in a state of coherence, or peace and calm for focusing on the end result you are after with your goals. That way you are more effective when you are attempting to “trick your brain” into believing something that isn’t yet true.

And you also have a better chance of recognizing when your body shifts into a “fear” emotion because of what you are trying to make real in your mind. That is one way you can discover that you have subconscious beliefs that are acting as blocks to your success. They are only a problem if you are allowing them to remain subconscious instead of becoming more aware of what you are feeling.

These training techniques are intended to help you focus your mental power in a way that is most effective in helping you attain your goals. But always remember to keep an eye out for subconscious programming that can be sabotaging your efforts. They are the place to look if you are taking action and following through but find that nothing is changing.
